Welches Bild benötigt welche Pixelanzahl?

Foto 9 x 13 cm
Eine 2 Megapixelkamera mit einer Auflösung von 1600 x 1200 reicht für Fotos im Format 9 x 13 cm vollkommen aus.

Foto 10 x 15 cm
Eine 2 Megapixelkamera mit einer maximalen Auflösung von 1600 x 1200 Pixel ist für Fotos in diesem Format (Postkarte) nur noch eingeschränkt geeignet. Besser ist eine 3 Megapixelkamera geeignet.

Foto 13 x 18 cm
Eine 3 Megapixelkamera bietet schon fast zu geringe Auflösung für Ausdrucke ohne Qualitätsverluste. Modelle mit 4 Megapixeln bieten ebenfalls noch nicht die volle benötigte Pixelzahl - allerdings sind die Oualitätsverluste kaum sichtbar.

Foto 20 x 30 cm
Ausdrucke ohne Qualitätsverlust sind mit einer 8 Megapixelkamera möglich. Eine Auflösung von 4 oder 5 Megapixeln liefert jedoch noch eine gute Qualität.
